Selection

The artists for the third edition of UtrechtDownUnder have been selected by nine scouts from the art world. A longlist was comprised of today’s artists whose promising work stands out. The common denominator being their affinity with Utrecht.

This selection provides a broad view on the contemporary high-quality art of Utrecht.

Composition of the Exhibition

Appointed as curator for this edition of UtrechtDownUnder is Elaine Vis. For every wharf cellar she selected the artist(s) and visited the owners with them to explore the spaces. Carefully considered choices have been made to make the best use of both the locations and the possibilities of the works of art. The meaning of the work of art and its combination with the wharf cellar’s personality being of pivotal importance.
