Amerentske Koopman

painting with objects

For Amerentske Koopman our view of the world can never be wide enough. Her paintings are composed of lines, structures and sections. She doesn’t limit herself to using just paint but adds coloured rags and objects. Repetition, movement and distance: all elements become images that suggest landscapes and city planning.
While studying architecture, Amerentske developed a fascination for the tension between autonomous and applied arts. Intuitively she explores the intersection between the two disciplines.
