Jop Vissers Vorstenbosch

armed with light, electronics and movement

Jop Vissers Vorstenbosch is utterly fascinated by large screens and advertising pillars grasp. Armed with light, electronics and movement, Jop chooses the art of painting to challenge the loud advertisement imagery. As far as Jop is concerned, painting does not exclusively happen with brushes and paint. He prefers to see a painting as a set of building blocks and approaches his subjects like a builder.

His large-scale projects like Monument for Digital Failure in the new library in Utrecht seem to move before your eyes through the interference of patterns in the paint and surface. By moving and choosing a different perspective, each viewer has a personal perception of the artwork.
