The Yoga cellar

The oldest section of the cellar dates back to the 16th century. It shows in the type of stone that was used during this period.

At that time, masonry work was not laid in a bond yet. There used to be a passageway to Kleyn Payenborch, and traces of it can still be seen. Also, stairs from street level can be traced, which likely used to lead to a well. Today, this well does not exist anymore.

For the last 25 years, the wharf cellar has been used as a bed store, housing and a storage space. Since the summer of 2011, Kinderyoga-Utrecht resides here, to offer yoga to children.
