Kafé Belgium

Here, down at the wharf cellar, resides the little bar for the employers of the café België located above it. This café serves an astounding number of beers; 193 kinds. You can see them lying well secured in the storage space at the back-end cellars.

After a friendly volleyball match in neighboring country Belgium in the eighties, bar owner Ronald de Koning was charmed by the coziness of the traditional pubs there. At that time, there was no café focused on specialty beers in Utrecht yet. In 1984, Kafé België opened her doors, including this cellar for dancing and this little bar.
